OREAが2つ目のモデルとして発売したのがV2で、その後期モデルがMk2です。Mk1との違いは内側のリブ(Mk1は横向きに数本)で、Mk2はリブがありません。抽出穴はV3と同様の形状をしています。素材はアルミニウム製で、ドリッパーの大きさはウェーブフィルターの155サイズが大きくはみ出るくらい。この素材と小さなサイズにより、ドリッパーが素早く温まる。この特性を使って10g程度の豆を細挽きで高温(ほぼ100℃に近い)という淹れ方をするのが好きです。この特徴のデメリットはドリッパーがかなり熱くなるので、片付けの際に不用意に触ると火傷をしそうになることですね。V3へ続く進化の過程を見ることができるドリッパーです。かっこよさだと、OREAの他のモデルを抑えてこのV2がいちばんかな。

OREA’s second model was the V2. This is a later model is called Mk2, which different from the Mk1 by the inner ribs (Mk1 has some horizontal ribs); the Mk2 has no ribs. The extraction hole is similar in shape to the V3. The material is aluminum, and the dripper is smaller than 155 size of the Wave filter. This material and small size allow the dripper to warm up quickly. I like to use this characteristic to brew about 10 grams of beans, finely ground and hot (almost 100°C). The disadvantage of this feature is that the dripper gets quite hot, so if you unintentionally touch it when cleaning up, you might get burned.
The V2 is a dripper that allows you to see the evolutionary process that continues to the V3. In terms of coolness, I think the V2 is the best looking dripper, ahead of the other OREA models.
